The first three books were fabulous; I've read them until their spines have cracked, I loaned the first book to someone who never returned it, and my husband bought me a replacement as a Christmas gift one year. I hope Sophie's been able to find Becky's voice again, because it was missing from every book since, and don't even get me started on Shopaholic & Sister -- I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn Sophie didn't even write that one. And for gawd's sake: Keep Jerry Bruckheimer away from this one.

I love The Shopaholic, Shopaholic Ties the Knot and Shopaholic Takes Manhattan so much, I've re-read each of them EASILY 20 times, no hyperbole. Their spines have given up, the pages are worn -- whenever I need to relax or escape, I pick up one of those three books. That said, the later books are not as good. Shopaholic and Sister is almost painful to read. I hope this one returns to Becky's original 'voice,' which was lost after Ties the Knot. And for gawd's sake: Keep Jerry Bruckheimer away from it!
